Protest Disrupts Interstate Transport in Lagos State

Thursday’s nationwide protest over economic hardship severely affected interstate transport activities in Lagos State, with most transport companies halting operations.

A News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent visited several motor parks and reported a complete shutdown. At the usually bustling Mazamaza Motor Park, no vehicles were loading, and commuters were absent. Offices of the Young Shall Grow Transport Company and Peace Mass Transit were closed.

Only a few people were seen discussing the protest at the park. Jude Nneji, Managing Director/CEO of ABC Transport Plc., confirmed that the company suspended operations on Thursday, prioritizing traveler safety amid the unrest.

Similarly, attendants at God is Good Motors and Libra Transport Company on Okota Road stated that no tickets were sold for transport services that day.
