Access Bank Appoints Uche Orji as Independent Non-Executive Director
Access Holdings Plc has appointed Uche Orji as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Access Bank Plc, following the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
His appointment, effective January 7, reflects the bank’s commitment to strengthening governance and diversifying its board with seasoned professionals.
Orji brings over 30 years of experience in investment banking, finance, and technology. He is the Co-founder and Partner at Titangate Capital Management, an equity firm investing in deep-tech, enterprise software, and artificial intelligence. He also founded Vitesse Africa Limited, an investment advisory firm focused on energy, technology, and infrastructure in Africa.
His career includes serving as the founding Managing Director and CEO of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority. He previously held senior positions at UBS Securities, JP Morgan, and Goldman Sachs, and was once Acting Financial Controller at Diamond Bank.
Paul Usoro, Chairman of Access Bank, described Orji’s appointment as a strategic move to enhance the bank’s decision-making process.
“His vast expertise in finance, investment, and technology will add significant value to our board as we pursue our long-term growth strategy,” Usoro said.
