The Police Command in Jigawa State has assured residents of adequate security, public safety, and a peaceful Easter celebration across the state.

Commissioner of Police for Jigawa, Mr Ahmadu Abdullahi, gave the assurance in a statement on Saturday by command’s spokesperson, Lawan Shiisu.

Abdullahi said police personnel had been deployed across the state to maintain public safety and order.

He stated that the command had implemented comprehensive measures to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.

The CP said adequate security would be provided across all 27 Local Government Areas in the state.

Abdullahi said personnel had been deployed to worship centres, recreation spots, highways, and other public places.

He added that patrols would be intensified and visibility policing enhanced to deter crime and enable quick response to incidents.

He also noted that the command is working closely with other security agencies and community leaders for effective coordination and intelligence sharing.

The CP urged residents to be law-abiding and celebrate responsibly during the Easter period.

He called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals to the nearest security post.

Abdullahi reaffirmed the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property at all times.

“The command acknowledges the significance of this season, which symbolises hope, renewal, and sacrifice,” he said.
