Davido Celebrates as Uncle Ademola Adeleke Wins Re-Election as Osun Governor

Afrobeats superstar Davido has celebrated the victory of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, after the incumbent governor was declared winner of the Osun State governorship election.

The singer expressed his excitement in a video shared on his social media page, where he was seen dropping to the ground in celebration shortly after the election result was announced.

Davido, who has openly supported Adeleke, congratulated the governor with the message: “WE DID IT UNC!!!”

Adeleke, who contested the election under the Accord Party, secured 511,067 votes to defeat his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 444,815 votes.

Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) came third with 17,180 votes.

The victory marks another electoral success for Adeleke, who will continue as governor of Osun State following the conclusion of the governorship election.
