TINUBU’S ADMINISTRATION DELIVERS TRANSFORMATIVE PROJECTS IN THE NORTH – RENEWED HOPE AMBASSADORS

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) has said President Bola Tinubu has delivered transformative projects across Northern Nigeria in line with his campaign promises, dismissing claims in some quarters that the administration had neglected the region.

The group made this assertion in a statement issued by Mr Tunde Rahman, Director of Media and Publicity, Renewed Hope Ambassadors, following a media tour of Federal Government projects in the North-West organised in collaboration with the Presidential Media Team.

According to the group, the inspection covered a wide range of ongoing and completed projects spanning from Zuba Junction in the Federal Capital Territory to Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Kebbi States.

The RHA noted that the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Works, is currently executing 260 Special Intervention Projects nationwide, with 48 of them located in the North-West — the highest among all geopolitical zones.

“This is evidence of President Tinubu’s commitment to the development and transformation of the northern region,” the group said.

The delegation toured several major infrastructure projects, including the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway, where reconstruction works involving concrete pavement and solar-powered streetlights are ongoing. It noted that Section One of the project, stretching from Zuba Junction to beyond Jere, is nearing completion.

In Kaduna State, the team inspected the 21-kilometre Kaduna Western Bypass, a project abandoned for over two decades. The RHA observed that work on the road has reached about 50 per cent completion.

The delegation also visited the Kaduna-Kano-Katsina-Maradi railway project, which is expected to improve regional connectivity by linking Northern Nigeria with the Republic of Niger. The flyover component of the project in Kaduna, according to the group, is expected to be completed by December.

In Kano, the team inspected ongoing developments at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, including a cardiovascular centre, paediatric centre and students’ hostel.

Other projects visited included a N27 billion irrigation scheme in Garko, a solar energy installation, and a 10-hectare Agricultural Incubation Centre at Bayero University, Kano.

The delegation also visited the North-West Development Commission headquarters and an erosion control project along the Wujuwuju-Jakara axis in Kano State.

In Jigawa State, the group said work on the railway project section is nearing completion, while in Kebbi State, it inspected sections of the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway where construction activities such as concrete pavement and streetlight installation are ongoing.

“With these projects among others under construction and at various stages of completion in the North-West and across the Northern region, the development of the North seems assured,” the RHA said.

The group urged critics of the administration to undertake independent assessments of ongoing projects, insisting that the Tinubu administration has demonstrated commitment to fulfilling its promises to the region.

“With these projects among others under construction and at various stages of completion in the North-West and across the Northern region, the development of the North seems assured,” the RHA added, reiterating its confidence in the administration’s infrastructure drive.
